Our Story
About SEO Spring Training.
An 8th-annual, practitioner-taught conference in Chandler, Arizona — and the national resource that teaches the same plays year-round. A Salterra event.
SEO Spring Training started with one frustration: too many marketing conferences sold theory from a stage, and too few showed the real work.
So Terry and Elisabeth Samuels built the room they wanted to sit in — a conference where trainers share actual accounts and numbers, where no sponsor can buy a keynote, and where the room is small enough to meet everyone. Eight years later, the SEOST Digital Marketing Conference is a Salterra event in Chandler, Arizona that practitioners travel across the country for.
This website is the other half of that mission. It's the national authority resource where the same material lives in writing — free guides across SEO, local, AI search, content and paid — so you can learn year-round, then come learn it live each spring.
What We Stand For
Six principles, no exceptions.
These aren't marketing lines. They're the rules that decide who speaks, how the room runs, and what you walk away with.
No theory, only tactics
Plays you can run Monday — modeled on what's working right now, not what worked three years ago.
See our SEO guides →No pay-to-play stages
Speakers earn the stage on what they can teach. No sponsor buys a keynote, ever.
How we compare →Trainers, not presenters
Everyone on stage runs real campaigns. They teach from live accounts, not from a slide template.
See local SEO →A small room on purpose
Seats are capped so you can meet the speakers and each other. Access over attendance numbers.
See AI search →Real accounts & numbers
Case studies with the figures left in. You see what moved, by how much, and what it cost.
See content →Community over crowd
Relationships that outlast the event. The people you meet become the network you call all year.
See paid media →Who It's For
The room.
SEOST draws people who own the outcome — the ones who have to make the marketing actually work.
Why a whole website, not just an event page?
Because the event is five days and the questions never stop. This site is the national resource that answers them year-round — a growing library of practitioner guides written in the same voice you'd hear from the stage.
Read it free, apply it to your own work, and when you want to go deeper, the room is in Chandler every spring. The guides and the conference are one thing: no theory, just the plays that work.
We built the conference we wanted to attend — a small room, real numbers, and no one on stage who doesn't actually do the work.

The guides are the preview. The real thing is four days in the room with the people doing the work — real accounts, real numbers, plays you can run Monday.
